Do you have a website or blog?

Well, if you don't have one, create a FREE account on one of the many blogging platforms available such as Blogger, Weebly or Wordpress.com
You can make money when you sell your website. But that doesn't mean you should be quick to sell it. You need to take into considerations a few things before you rush to sell your site.
This blog will focus on the four essential things you need to know before you sell your site.

1) Your website/blog is new

2)  It has no traffic

3) It has no income

4) It hasn't got a good search engine ranking.

Things to know before you rush to sell your website.

Many people don't realize that every website in monetary terms, has a value from the day it is up and running or published.
If you are eager to make some quick cash, sell your website. But you don't think you can make an enormous amount of money on the very first day you publish it.
NO! You won't make a single dollar out of it! The reason? There are four reasons you won't make a single penny.

1) Your website/blog is new
You created and published your site and it's new and FRESH. Nobody knows of its existence; that is  unless you have spread the word around to family and friends.

Take the following example for instance:
If you live in a popular neighborhood you will have friends come visit you. They know in which area you live. And it doesn't take them much time to come and visit you. The fun or the bad part of it is,

unless you are working, they may come at all hours.
Move to a much quieter area and don't tell your friends that you live there. They won't know that you live in that area and come visit you. Therefore, if you set up a new sit and nobody knows about it, you will have no sight visitors at all.
Tips: Add lots of quality content to your site and promote it as much as you can and do it with constant frequency.

2) It has no traffic
Having a website means in no time you will attract site visitors. This is traffic to your new and published site. In the beginning, unless you have another good and established site
that is generating consistent amount of traffic which you can divert, you won't get huge amounts of traffic to your new site.
Tips: Traffic is essential to your website and you can increase web traffic to your site. But this requires you to know the audience your site caters to. Knowing your audience means, you can get targeted traffic.

3) No income
Your site has no traffic and that means it has no audience. If you decide you are going to sell your website, it must be a money maker or generate income.

Having said this, would you like to see to your hard work at starting a website being rewarded with cash?
Depending on what your site is about, you can make money online with your site in many ways.
Tips: Start to find ways you can use your site to generate income that can lead you to having a consistent monthly income. The moment you have a steady income, this increases the value of your website.

4) It hasn't got a good search engine ranking
Ranking high in the search engines, for example Google, gives site owners sleepless nights. That's because the higher the ranking the more credibility your site has.

You might be one of those thinking about ways to rank high on Google. After all, it's all about getting to the front page, or the number one position on the search engines.
And that means being in the top ten spot.
This requires a number of factors that will be talked about in another post. But if you are eager to find out ways you can rank better against a competitor website,

you can use the help of online tools to find out.
Tips:You can use various online tools such as SEO Powersuite. With the help of  this tool you can see among other things,

your site's position in various search engines. You can see how you rank on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. It can also help you to understand,

ways to optimize your site for search engines.

In Conclusion
Sometimes there is an urge to make some quick cash. It runs deep in everyone. This makes it easy to take quick decisions. But take the time to build your site and optimize your site for search engines.
Make it acceptable in the eyes of potential buyers for the fact that every buyer would like to buy something of value. To have potential buyers consider your site,

it must offers great value.
Great value means,it will be of enormous benefits to any potential buyer. This value is in most cases monetary. This mean that,

means anyone who buys your site will hope to reap great financial benefits in the long run. But if your site has little to offer in terms of value,

you should start to work on it.

  1. Consider adding INK for All to the list:http://bit.ly/2IiHXlQ Granted I’ve only been working with it for around a few weeks or a month but so far, it’s been a total game-changer
